As dedicated pet care professionals, we understand the value of continuing education and staying up to date with industry best practices. That’s why we take great pride in being Texas Pet Sitter Association members and investing in professional growth. This year marked Paw Time Favorite’s second time attending the annual conference, and we were more excited than ever to participate!
Texas Pet Sitters Coming Together on a Cruise Ship
Last year, the conference took place in Lewisville, TX, near Dallas, where we attended as small business owners alongside our longest-standing employee, Daisy. However, for the 10th Annual Texas Pet Sitter Association Conference, it was go big or go home! This year’s event was extra special—not only because it was a milestone year for the conference, but also because Jonathan and I embarked on our first-ever cruise!

We traveled four hours from San Antonio to the Port of Galveston, where we boarded a five-day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico. The experience of setting sail for the first time was exhilarating, and we were beyond grateful for the opportunity to combine professional development with an exciting new adventure.
Conference Sessions & Take-Aways
During the cruise, we attended conference sessions, networked with fellow pet care professionals from across the country, and built valuable relationships within the industry. We also gained insightful knowledge from top experts, including:
Isabel Alvarez Arata, Owner of Covered in Pet Hair
Michelle Kline, Owner of DogCo Launch
Janie Budnick, Owner of PetBiz CRM
Each speaker provided unique perspectives and actionable strategies to help us enhance our services and improve the way we run our business.
Texas Pet Sitter Conference Sponsors & Board of Directors
We also want to express our deep appreciation to the conference sponsors for making this event possible, including:
⭐ Barketing Solutions⭐ Pet Sitter International⭐ Time to Pet⭐ Business Insurers of the Carolinas⭐ IBPSA⭐ Covered in Pet Hair and special thanks to Cathy Vaughn, TPSA Board President, Deanna Schaar, TPSA Board Secretary, Jessica Milam, TPSA Treasurer.
Without their support, this incredible learning opportunity wouldn’t have been possible!

Bringing Back the Industry Insights to Elevate our Pet Care Excellence
Once back on land, we returned eager to share everything we had learned with our team, who did an amazing job handling visits while we were away. Having a dedicated, well-trained team allows us to invest in professional growth without compromising the quality of care our clients expect and deserve.
Our commitment to ongoing education is just one of the many reasons why pet parents choose Paw Time Favorite for their pet sitting and dog walking needs. We are passionate about providing the best pet care experience possible—and we’re honored to be an award-winning company that continues to grow and improve each year.

Attending the Texas Pet Sitter Association Conference has been an invaluable experience, and we can’t wait to see what next year holds!
